Microsoft Corporation presented its new product line (Windows Server 2008, Visual Studio 2008 and Sql Server 2008) on Microsoft Technology Update Event, held in Skopje on April, 4, 2008.  The event was organized under the slogan "Heroes happen {here}" with the active support and participation of local users groups. The SQL PASS members - Aleksandar Talev and Robert Lakinski participate in the event with presentation regarding MS Sql Server 2008 new features.


Macedonian PASS Association on 19.04.2007 organized a meeting supported by Microsoft Macedonia, where IT experts from the companies Semos, Kibs, The National Bank, Peksim, The Ministry of Interior, Komercijalna Bank and Digit participated. It was concluded that the SQL/DEV Forum as a technical forum is the most developed one in Macedonia. A special accent was set to the knowledge database of SQL Server topics with its exceptinally plentiful collection of answered questions, most of which are complex ones.
It was also agreed that the future activities should be focused on the following Summit in Barcelona, periodical work meetings, presentations, and further expanding of the SQL/DEV Forum topics.


First MVP from Macedonia. Aleksandar Talev, employed in Semos Computers, was awarded as a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP). This Program recognizes and thanks outstanding members of technical communities for their community participation and willingness to help others. Macedonian SQL Server Professional Association (PASS) is a voluntary and non-profit association of Microsoft SQL Server RDBMS users, as well as association of programmers, users of Microsoft development tools. Database and Windows OS Administrators, Programmers, Trainers and other who are interested in experts' discussions and information exchange may become members of this association. Contributions of all participants in the work of the association are voluntary and free of charge, and all publications of the association are available to the public immediately after their presentation. All issues in the IT field related to Microsoft SQL Server and development of applications on MS platforms are also covered by the MKSQLPASS group.
